CA Technologies Focuses on Key Industry Verticals with Three New Senior Hires
Sydney 1 May, 2012 – CA Technologies (NASDAQ:CA) today announced the appointment of three new senior sales directors to support its new approach to market in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) based on four key industry verticals – Telecommunications and Media (Telco and Media), Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BSFI), Commercial and State Government (CSG) and Federal Government. In addition, a new vice president of Services for ANZ has been appointed to lead the growth and development of a strategic services business that enables CA Technologies propositions into each of these verticals.
Kevin Brough joins to head up the Telco and Media team, Craig Williams takes on the BSFI team and Richard Kulkarni joins as the head of the CSG division. All three will report directly to Bill McMurray, Managing Director, CA Technologies, ANZ and will be responsible for business operations including strategy, sales growth and strategic business development within their respective industry vertical.
“The domain expertise of these new appointments allows us to focus on growing our business further in markets that are key to CA Technologies,” said McMurray. “These are industry recognised leaders that will significantly strengthen our local management team.”
Mark Bennett has come on board to lead Services for ANZ and reports to Darren Reid, Senior Vice President for Services, Asia Pacific & Japan. Bennett will also sit on Bill McMurray’s leadership team to ensure the close integration of sales and services, which is key to enabling customers to realise the full value of CA Technologies solutions from inception through to business operations.
The new appointments will be based in Sydney, working from CA Technologies headquarters in North Ryde, with the exception of Craig Williams, who is based in the St Kilda office in Melbourne.
Kevin Brough – Senior Director, Sales (Telecommunications and Media)
Brough joins CA Technologies from Microsoft, where he was Regional Sales Director for the company’s telecommunications business across the Asia region. Brough brings over 20 years of telecommunications knowledge and expertise, with a solid track-record of successful sales leadership, including senior sales positions at EDS and Lucent. Brough was also Managing Director of Nokia Networks (ANZ).
Craig Williams – Senior Director, Sales (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance)
With over 15 years of experience, Williams joins CA Technologies from EMC Corporation, where he was the General Manager of EMC’s Documentum business across ANZ. A key part of this transformation was the focus on the Financial Services vertical. Prior to EMC, Williams spent 11 years at Compaq/HP Australia, with the last six years as General Manager of their Victorian operations.
Richard Kulkarni, Senior Director, Sales (Commercial and State Government)
Kulkarni has worked in the software industry for over 25 years and moves to CA Technologies from his most recent role of Managing Director, ANZ at IDS-Scheer AG. His past roles include senior positions with McDonnell Douglas Information Systems, JBA International, i2 Technologies, Parametric Technologies Corporation and Sage Business Solutions.
Mark Bennett – Vice President, Services, Australia and New Zealand
Most recently from New Zealand’s largest ICT service provider, Bennett led the Australian Professional Services business at Gen-I. During Bennett's five years at Gen-I, he led some significant transformation programs and established a set of national ICT consulting, engineering and project management teams, with a focus on enterprise customers with Trans-Tasman operations and markets. He has over 15 years of ICT management experience working across public and private sectors, service providers and technology vendors
