CA Pty Ltd ("CA Australia") respects your privacy and understands your concerns about the security of your personal information. CA Australia is committed to protecting any personal information about you that is held by CA Australia or by other Computer Associates entities as described below.
CA Australia markets and licenses products ("CA Products") in Australia that are developed by our parent company, Computer Associates International, Inc. ("CA International"). CA Australia also provides product support and consulting services to Australian users of CA Products.

Australian National Privacy Principles
Most private sector organisations in Australia are required by law to comply with Australian National Privacy Principles ("NPPs") and are subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). CA Australia is bound by these NPPs.
Your Personal Information
Any personal information which CA Australia collects about you will be used and disclosed by CA Australia to employees and contractors of CA Australia and to CA International (if required) as described further below to enable CA Australia to: (i) provide you with the services that you have requested, or (ii) otherwise carry out CA Australia's functions as a supplier of CA Products and provider of professional services.
CA Australia may also use your personal information to provide you with information about other events, promotions or competitions organised by CA Australia or CA International. If you would prefer not to receive this information, please let CA Australia know and CA Australia will respect your request.
Specific examples of some of the ways in which CA Australia and CA International may collect your personal information are:
Product Registrations: If you register a CA Product, CA International retains the contact details you have given as part of the registration. CA Australia may use these details to send you literature about CA Products (including upgrades). CA Australia may also let you know about latest developments in the IT industry, and contact you about forthcoming events being organised by CA Australia.
CA Events, Promotions & Competitions: You may have given CA Australia your contact details or other personal information in connection with a CA Australia event, promotion or competition. CA Australia holds this information so that CA Australia can contact you about CA Australia's latest offers, together with other sales information.
CA Website: CA Australia and CA International also collect some information from you when you use CA International's website at ca.com. Your use of the facilities and services available through the website will determine the amount and type of information that CA Australia and CA International collects about you.
Other CA companies: From time to time, CA Australia may share your personal information with other CA International affiliates, related companies and subsidiaries located outside Australia. At all times, CA Australia ensures that those entities abide by the principles of fair and lawful collection and use of your personal information, which are similar to those imposed by Australian law.
Contracting out services and disclosures: CA Australia also engages third parties to provide certain services, which may include collecting, or processing your personal information on our behalf. Examples of such third parties include call centre operators, mailing houses and advertising agencies.
Access to your personal information
In most cases, you can gain access to personal information that CA Australia holds about you. CA Australia will handle requests for access to your personal information in accordance with the NPPs.
CA Australia encourages all requests for access to your personal information to be directed to the Privacy Officer by email or by mail to the addresses below.
CA Australia will deal with all requests for access to personal information as soon as CA Australia is reasonably able. Requests for a large amount of information, or information which is not currently in use, may take some time before a response can be given. In some cases, consistently with the NPPs, CA Australia may refuse to give you access to personal information that CA Australia holds about you. If CA Australia refuses to give you access, CA Australia will provide you with reasons for the refusal.
Generally, if you request CA Australia to do so, CA Australia will amend any personal information about you held by CA Australia which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. If CA Australia disagrees with your view about the accuracy, completeness or currency of a record of your personal information held by CA Australia, and you ask CA Australia to associate with that record a statement that you have a contrary view, CA Australia will take reasonable steps to do so.
Changing our privacy policy
From time to time it may be necessary for CA Australia to review and revise CA Australia's privacy policy. CA Australia reserves the right to change our privacy policy at any time. CA Australia may notify you about changes to this privacy policy by posting an updated version on CA Australia's website: ca.com/au.
