CA Championship and the World Golf Championships

CA is a global umbrella sponsor of the World Golf Championships golf events and the title sponsor of CA Championship held in March at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami Florida. CA Championship is played on Doral's famous Blue Monster course by some of the best professional golfers from around the world. Highlights from CA's inaugural title golf tournament this past March, including CA's President and CEO John Swainson awarding the tournament trophy to Tiger Woods, can be seen in this video.

World Golf Championships

The World Golf Championships were created as a step toward internationalizing the game of golf. This is the first set of events to be jointly sanctioned by the world's six major golf tours which collectively form the International Federation of PGA Tours (the PGA Tour, European Tour, Japan Golf Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia, Southern Africa Tour, and the Asian Tour). There are currently three tournaments that comprise the World Golf Championships: Accenture Match Play (held in February in Tuscon, Arizona), CA Championship (held in March in Miami, Florida) and the Bridgestone Invitational (held in August in Akron, Ohio). CA and Retief Goosen

CA sponsors PGA Tour professional Retief Goosen from South Africa. A two-time U.S. Open Champion and holder of titles from the PGA Tour, European Tour and South African Tour, Retief clearly demonstrates excellence in his craft. Proudly sporting CA's logo on his collar, Retief attends CA hospitality programs at World Golf Championships and meets with CA's customers, partners and employees as his schedule permits.

CA and David Howell

CA sponsors European Tour professional David Howell from England. David holds five international titles and played a major role on Europe's Ryder Cup winning squad in 2004 and 2006. In addition to actively participating in CA's hospitality programs at the World Golf Championships, David has also given of his time to instruct the next generation of golfers in a clinic hosted by CA for the First Tee. The First Tee is a World Golf Foundation initiative to provide young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life-enhancing values such as confidence, perseverance and judgment through golf and character education.
