CA Academic Initiative — Education

To help you get started on CA Technologies products, we offer both instructor-led (classroom and virtual) and web-based training through CA Education.

Instructor-led courses

Through the CA Academic Initiative, member institutions may send up to ten (10) faculty or staff per year to CA Education courses. These courses are offered at various times and locations around the world. Attendance in the course is free of charge. However, faculty will need to cover their own travel, lodging and other expenses. To register for a course:

  1. Visit the CA Education Portal.
  2. Search for the course you want to attend. Please note that only select courses are eligible for you to take at no charge.
  3. At least three (3) weeks prior to the class start date, register for the course through the CA Education Portal. Under Payment Information, select "Purchased Education through a Reseller." Enter "CA Academic Initiative Partner Program" as the Reseller name. You may also call us directly at 1-800-237-9273 in the U.S. and Canada; for all other countries, refer to the CA Education Contacts pages for local phone numbers.
  4. You will be contacted to verify your course registration.

Web-based courses

Faculty and staff at member institutions may take web-based training (WBT) courses through our web site. To register for a WBT course:

  1. Visit the CA Education Portal.
  2. Search for the course you want to take. Please note that only select courses are eligible for you to take at no charge.
  3. Order the course through the CA Education Portal. Under Payment Information, select "Purchased Education through a Reseller." Enter "CA Academic Initiative Partner Program" as the Reseller name.
