Employee Empowerment

CA Technologies strives to be an employer of choice. We need to attract the best people we can to ensure we provide the most effective solutions for our customers. At CA Technologies, our employees are our most valued assets.

For the past few years, our programs to develop and retain top talent have excelled in these efforts. We have a competitive global compensation structure, health benefits at the top of the scale and on-site child development centers and wellness programs. Our Ask Bill program lets employees direct questions and concerns directly to our CEO. We also have the Compliance and Ethics Helpline, which allows our employees to report potential ethics violations, and internal blogs on our OneCA intranet site where employees can offer ideas on any topic, including sustainability, as well as share their points of view.

We regularly conduct employee opinion and culture surveys to find out how well we’re doing. Our Culture Index Survey (CIS), which is conducted quarterly, shows the majority of employees feel energized and passionate about their jobs. Our most recent CIS showed that three-quarters of employees are happy working at CA Technologies, more than 70% see it as a great place to work and roughly 68% said that the culture resonates with them. We also conduct an Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) annually. Results from the next survey are scheduled to be released in August 2012.

In terms of employee engagement, we are making progress on CA Technologies goals, but survey results tell us that we need to place a greater focus on enhancing company-wide team spirit and collaboration. We believe our new Green Teams represent a very positive step in this direction.
