Adam Elster
Executive Vice President and Group Executive
Mainframe and Customer Success Group

Adam Elster is executive vice president and group executive, Mainframe and Customer Success, and a member of the Executive Management Team at CA Technologies.  He is responsible for innovation and growth of the Mainframe business and Customer Success, which includes Customer Support, Portfolio Management and Acquisition Integration. In addition, he leads a Business Transformation program that ensures alignment of organizational initiatives with the company’s business strategy to meet long term goals and objectives.

Adam has held various senior management positions since joining the company in 1999. Previously, he served as executive vice president of CA Technologies global business operations and business transformation, managing all aspects of executing the company’s operating plan.

Prior to that, he was general manager of CA Services, Support and Education sales, where he led a global team that delivered strategic insight, implementations, support and education to enable customers to receive maximum value from their IT investments.

Earlier on, Adam was senior vice president and general manager, responsible for sales in the eastern U.S., with a primary focus on managing the company’s growth in established and emerging customer bases. 

Adam has a unique blend of technical and business experience along with a background that provides him with an invaluable customer-side perspective. He is known both inside and outside the company for his devotion to building closer relationships with CA Technologies customers and partners—and for ensuring their needs are heard, understood, and served by the company.  Adam’s customer-centric focus is clearly an instrumental component of his success.

Adam joined CA Technologies through the acquisition of PLATINUM technology, where he supported the company's professional services focused on data warehousing, repository, and business intelligence.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and his Master of Sciences in management and information systems from New York University.
