CA Together IT Program

The same CA software solutions that are unifying and simplifying the management of IT for businesses helps nonprofit organizations manage costs and improve their effectiveness.

Through strategic partnerships with a limited number of nonprofit organizations, CA can provide significant resources to achieve long-term and meaningful results.

CA Together IT Partnerships

Boys and Girls Clubs of America

In 2005, CA pledged a three-year, $4.6 million grant to serve as the National Security Partner for Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).

This CA Together IT partnership provides BGCA with a range of CA's information technology management solutions that will enable BGCA to reduce costs, secure its 3,900 local Clubhouses throughout the U.S. and operate more efficiently. CA is providing BGCA with its Unicenter Network and Systems Management solutions and Integrated Threat Management solutions that will simplify the management and help ensure the availability, security and performance of BGCA's business critical processes. CA is also providing training, technical and project management assistance.

Serving some 4.6 million youth annually, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's provides a positive place for kids. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.

National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)

For a decade, CA has been partnering with NCMEC. Over the years, CA has donated countless hours and millions of dollars of CA software solutions, services, and training to help NCMEC develop an IT infrastructure that supports their entire operation.

NCMEC and its associated International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children use solutions from CA's enterprise systems management, security management, storage management and business service optimization product portfolios to manage NCMEC's global network of websites. CA's software makes it possible for NCMEC to fulfill their mission to keep children safe.

Since its establishment in 1984, NCMEC has assisted law enforcement with more than 119,800 missing child cases, resulting in the recovery of more than 102,200 children.

Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM)

In 2005, CA entered into a three-year partnership with Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), the oldest continuously performing non-for-profit arts center in America . Since 1861, BAM has grown into a thriving urban arts center that brings international performing arts and film to Brooklyn .

CA provided recovery management services to support BAM's recovery strategies and planning assessment enabling them to operate their IT environment more effectively.

ConnectKentucky

In order to address the lack of computer hardware in Kentucky's underprivileged households, Kentucky launched No Child Left Offline. The Education Cabinet (Kentucky Department of Education), the Finance Cabinet (Commonwealth Office of Technology and the Office of Surplus Properties), and ConnectKentucky refurbishes and recycles surplus government computers and delivers them to underprivileged Kentucky  middle school students.

CA welcomed the opportunity to join ConnectKentucky's No Child Left Off-Line program by donating its e Trust Internet Security Suite solution that provides comprehensive protection against viruses, hackers, spyware, spam and other online threats that can jeopardize the privacy and diminish the performance of these PC's.

NPower NY

As part of the CA Together IT Program, CA is partnering NPower NY, one of the largest nonprofit technology providers for non-profit organizations. CA is donating more than $350,000 in incident and problem management solutions including Unicenter Service Desk, Asset Management and Knowledge Tools. These products will enable NPower NY to automate ITIL processes, thereby enabling them to better serve their clients.

NPower NY serves more than 500 nonprofit organizations that regularly access NPower NY's unique blend of IT services including technology support, strategic technology planning, training, free tech talks, specialized workshops and volunteer assistance.

NPower NY also offers young people a hands-on workforce development program Technology Service Corps (TSC) a training program that helps young adults develop a unique set of technical and professional skills.
