Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) is responsible for administering thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing in Western Australia. Its activities also include stewarding, which ensures the integrity of racing is maintained throughout Western Australia.
Challenge:
Changing betting regulations and the growth in online betting led RWWA to embark on a massive IT modernisation programme. With the majority of its revenue derived from wagering systems, it was essential that the RWWA’s new online betting platform remained available at all times.
Solution:
RWWA decided to deploy a number of service assurance solutions from CA Technologies to simplify IT management. The solutions, including CA IT Client Manager, CA IT Asset Manager and CA eHealth® Performance Manager, are used to automate key processes to ensure the availability of the betting systems.
Result:
By centralising and automating IT management, RWWA will be able to maximise the availability of its betting systems and increase efficiency. This will enable the organisation to minimise IT support costs, enhance the customer experience and protect revenues.
