Claria products can be manually removed should you decide you do not want these applications present on your PC.  Carefully follow the instructions below.

The following are manual removal instructions for Claria/GAIN products (http://www.claria.com/products/software/ ). These instructions are valid for the versions posted on their website on 03/28/2005:

- Click on Start -> Programs -> GAIN -> About GAIN -> What is GAIN?

- Click on "Click here for the GAIN supported products and services on your computer."

- Open the Control Panel and run the "Add or Remove Programs" application

- Locate and remove each of the applications that GAIN reports to have installed on the computer

- Reboot the computer

- Search the system's hard drive for the following files and remove them, where * acts as a wildcard and <your username> means the name with which you log into Windows:

C:\Windows\Temp\bic_gatorpt.ini

C:\Windows\Temp\installdatemanager.exe

C:\Windows\Gator*.log

C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Temp\GSY_Temp

C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Temp\Installbo-fsg.exe

- Search the system's registry for the following entries and remove them.
The registry can be accessed by clicking on Start -> Run and typing "regedit":
