Two CA Technologies Leaders Named to 2011’s Top 100 Channel Executives List by UBM Channel’s CRN

ISLANDIA, N.Y., November 30, 2011 – CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that two of its leaders were named to the list of Top 100 Executives in the Channel by CRN.  This annual list salutes individual channel executives for continuing to change the way the channel does business to increase partner sales while shaping their own organization’s future.

Adam Famularo, general manager, Enterprise and Cloud Solutions, was named one of the Top 10 Channel Strategists of 2011, a subset of the Top 100 listing.  CRN described Famularo as “a channel turnaround specialist, having turned CA Technologies storage business into the very much channel-centric business it is today.” Acknowledging his current role, CRN said “now he's busy leading the charge to turn CA Technologies into a cloud-centric vendor, and if anyone there can do it, it's Famularo.”

David Roberts, vice president, Americas, Data Management, was included among the Top 10 Mavericks Of 2011.  According to CRN, “when CA Technologies wanted to get the attention of managed service and cloud solution providers, the company brought in Roberts, a channel superstar who previously steered McAfee and Websense away from a direct sales culture.  Roberts has already made headway in getting partners to embrace the recurring revenue model.”

This is the second year in a row that Famularo and Roberts made CRN’s Top 100 list.

CRN’s 2011 Top 100 Executives list was based on nominations from solution providers who rated channel vendor executives based on influence, effectiveness and viability, as well as business and sales impact.  The CRN editorial team judged nominees based on sales volume, channel investment and advocacy, and performance in 2011 CRN research projects such as Channel Champs and the Annual Report Card.
