In his role as vice president for Partners and Alliances, Asia Pacific, Kwang-Meng is chartered to build a partner ecosystem which enables CA Technologies to scale its footprint in the region.
Prior to his appointment, Kwang-Meng was vice president, Partner Sales Organisation, Sun Microsystems in the Asia Pacific region. He was instrumental in the implementation of partnering strategies which helped Sun Microsystems grow revenue and expand its footprint in the region. Through his efforts and dedication, Sun Microsystems’ tightly-knit partner ecosystem contributed over 90 percent of the revenue in the region.
At Sun Microsystems, Kwang-Meng received the prestigious SUN ICON Best Sales Rep award in 1993 from two of Sun's founders, Scott McNealy and Andy Bechtolsheim.
Tan has over 20 years of experience with the IT industry. Business partners in the region and multinational IT vendors have continually drawn on his extensive knowledge of the Asia Pacific markets.
He began his career at Hewlett-Packard as a systems engineer and thereafter moved to a sales position, where he won the Best Sales Representative Award in 1988.
Tan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia and was an exchange scholarship recipient at the University of California, San Diego.
