These enhancements will make it easier for resellers and other channel partners to meet the needs of customers worldwide in all markets with CA's unmatched portfolio of IT management solutions.
CA has consistently been recognized by independent observers as offering one of the software industry's most practical and effective set of channel programs. The measures announced today will extend that competitive differentiation with a combination of training, support and segmentation initiatives directly driven by the needs of channel partners and customers alike.

Those enhancements include:
State-of-the-art training – CA is providing its reseller partners with the same training resources it uses for its internal sales and technical staffs. This training includes advanced interactive online courseware that allows partners to rapidly optimize their skill sets while enjoying the convenience of anywhere/anytime, self-paced education.
In addition, partners who complete designated training programs will be given access to CA's Virtual Solution center. This allows partners to interact with CA technology specialists who can help them design and specify solutions that optimally address the specific business and computing challenges faced by their customers.
CA is also enhancing its existing web-based and classroom training. The new training will reflect the best practices and most recent technology innovations resellers can leverage as they help their customers better govern, manage and secure IT. CA's 150+ unique courses also address key reseller issues such as business planning and sales staff development.
Augmented marketing support – CA is proactively driving business to its channel partners by stepping up a variety of demand-generation programs, as highlighted by its current advertising campaign for its popular CA ARCserve Backup. CA has also built a self-service marketing portal that gives channel partners access to resources in electronic formats that they can then use to quickly create their own highly professional demand-generation campaigns to both new prospects and existing customers. These materials can be made available to qualified channel partners free of charge.
Refined market segmentation – CA is more granularly segmenting its channel program. This is designed to deliver premium programs and services for partners operating at higher sales volumes and greater levels of technical proficiency in CA solutions. The new program structure will also provide new partners with a viable point-of-entry into a relationship with CA and realistic, successive benchmarks for evolving that relationship over time.
CA will continue to deliver its solutions to commercial accounts exclusively through the channel, while working closely with its partners to support its enterprise customers.
