CA to Moderate Panel Discussion and Sponsor Executive Roundtable on Cloud Computing at TM Forum Management World Americas

ISLANDIA, N.Y., November 16, 2009 – CA, Inc. (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that Roger Pilc, corporate senior vice president and general manager, will moderate a panel on leveraging cloud assets to support new services and revenue streams at TM Forum Management World Americas.

Pilc, head of CA’s Infrastructure Management and Automation business unit, will lead a discussion on How to Leverage Cloud Computing to Deliver Innovative Services Wednesday, December 9 at 4:00 p.m. The panelists will include Roman Pacewicz, senior vice president of strategy and application services, AT&T Andrew Higginbotham, vice president, IT operations, CenturyLink; David Guzmán, CIO, Acxiom; and Mike DiPetrillo, chief cloud architect, VMware.

“Communications service providers must continually innovate to deliver new services, gain competitive and cost advantage, and optimize customer experience. Cloud computing can play a vital role in driving innovation,” said Pilc. “This panel will feature industry leaders discussing both the benefits of cloud-based services and key issues such as performance visibility; security and identity management; ensuring service levels; managing virtual machines and applications as they migrate within the cloud; self-service; and cost-effectively meeting unpredictable demand.”

CA will also sponsor an executive roundtable on cloud computing. The session on Seeing through the Clouds will occur Tuesday, December 8 at 2 p.m. The discussion leaders will include Joe Weinman, vice president, strategy and business development, AT&T Tim May, senior vice president, corporate development, APPTIS; Eric Pulier, CEO, ServiceMesh; and Keith Willetts, chairman, TM Forum.

The roundtable will discuss the benefits and opportunities companies have within the different cloud service models (Infrastructure as a Service; Platform as a Service; and Software as a Service), security, what open standards are required and why, and what capabilities and roles communication service providers can play in ensuring the ecosystem meets customers’ needs and expectations.

Throughout the event in booth 107, CA will demonstrate how its Service Assurance and Business-Driven Automation solutions help more than 300 communications service providers worldwide, including all Top 10 Tier 1 operators, optimize revenues, control costs, and improve service quality by enabling them to better detect, identify, and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently before they impact customers.
