The CA CMDB Connector for z/OS provides an automated discovery mechanism for mainframe resources/configuration items (CIs) and their relationships. This data is used to populate the CA CMDB providing a complete view of your resources and relationships. Federation (CMDBf) of relevant data is also provided, allowing display of additional intrinsic information about CIs and relationships. ITIL® created the concept of a CMDB – an asset repository to manage assets and their relationships. Manual creation and maintenance of a CMDB manually is impossible.
