What is CA Date Simulator?
CA Date Simulator allows organizations to be confident that their time and date-sensitive applications will execute reliably with future dates. Instead of requiring a system clock reset, it instructs a z/OS subsystem to virtually alter the start time and date of jobs, started tasks, and/or TSO users by intercepting all types of z/OS date-time requests. By allowing test simulation of sensitive dates and times, it ensures that production applications will function as expected.
What application development and testing challenges does it meet?
Many applications contain date-sensitive fields or have transactions that require complex testing. CA offers CA Date Simulator, an automated system date simulation tool that enables you to virtually reset the z/OS system clock.
What features does it offer?
CA Date Simulator offers a z/OS or OS390 system clock intercept with common programming language, clock format, and time zone support. It also combines added security, CICS transaction-level time warping support, and support for application programs running under IMS and DB2.
What platforms does it support?
