The uninstall program has been improved and returns the system to its original state. Additionally, two new utilities provide assistance in checking a system's pre-installation readiness and migrating 8.x policies to r12.

  • Licensing - Improvements have been made to the license activation work-flow and installation messaging to ensure that installations are completed without interruption. The Management Server now starts a background task that completes the license activation, if necessary. Additionally Client messaging has been improved to display the actual state of the license during the activation period.

  • Management Console Login - Changes allow users to log into the Management Console when the Management Server is part of, or connected to, a Kerberos domain.

  • Reports - A new report displays the latest signature version and the last signature update time for each endpoint in the organization.

  • Client - Improvements in the Client now allow scheduled scans and content updates to occur when a user is not logged into the system. One-time license synchronization automatically occurs 48 hours after the Client is installed on a system, allowing the Client to accurately reflect the current license status.

  • Groupware - Improvements have been made to scan speed and log searches.

  • AMSDK - Upgrades to AMSDK 1.4 now provide the latest anti-malware protection capabilities.

  • System Stability - Additional tests and improvements have been made resulting in improved stability.
