Fixes in CA Directory 12.0 SP14 CR2

Support Ticket # Engineering Ticket # Affected Component Problem Summary
21933948-01 134579 DXmanager The default DXmanager thread pool has been increased from 20 -> 60 to allow for the monitoring/configuration of up to 30 hosts. The previous maximum was 10 hosts.
21952941-01 135451 DXserver A 'dxgrid-queue' stability issue has been resolved caused by an association disconnecting while a large number of updates received on that connection are being processed by the DSA.
21973737-01 138504 DXmanager DXmanager applets have been updated to work up to Java 8u25, 7u72 & 6u45.
21869323-01 125223 DXserver A role based access control issue has been resolved that has the potential to cause the router DSA to halt.
CA Internal 73093 DXserver A new password storage mechanism known as PBKDF2 (Password-Based Key Derivation Function) is now supported. This feature introduces three new settings to control the number of rounds, the salt length and the digest length.
CA Internal 141761 DXserver The DSA no longer crashes when deleting all entries via the root entry from JXplorer when running MW-DISP.

Fixes in CA Directory 12.0 SP14 CR1

Support Ticket # Engineering Ticket # Affected Component Problem Summary
21914789-01 137281 DXserver CA Directory now supports hostnames that have a digit as the first character.
21952941-01 135451 DXserver A password policy stability issue has been addressed when processing password comparisons under extreme load.
21925122-01 127759 DXserver A dxserver issue has been addressed where the DSA may dump core when stopped while an update is in progress.
21893560-01 119322 DXserver Addressed a Multi-write hub replication issue where a child entry is removed from a non-hub DSA and its parent is immediately removed from a hub in the same group. This can occur during router failback. This resulted in the parent removal being rejected by the non-hub with an assertion failure (data inconsistency).
21887440-01 117860 DXserver Addressed an issue with role-based configuration where the administrative limit override was ignored for dynamic group searches performed via a router DSA.
21796708-01 66465 DXserver The DSA no longer crashes when a data inconsistency prevents an entry being removed during MW-DISP recovery when "set interrupt-searches = true;"
21858503-01 79772 DXserver The DSA no longer halts on Windows when it encounters an Invalid Parameter Exception (Exception code: 0xc0000417).
CA Internal 137195 DXserver In response to the POODLE vulnerability the CA Directory cipher list now defaults to "ALL:!EXPORT40:!ADH:!SSLv2:!EXP:!LOW" and the setting 'protocol' set to 'tls'. If there are connectivity issues after upgrading to this release then check if TLS can be enabled on the client. If this is not possible then set 'protocol' to 'ssl'.
CA Internal 135259 DXserver A MW-DISP and DXgrid queue interoperability issue has been addressed.
CA Internal 125300 DXserver A MW-DISP boundary condition has been rectified where an entry may be omitted during MW-DISP recovery when:
* update is applied locally
* the machine clock rolls into the next second
* a MW replication confirm response is received from a peer
* the connection to that peer aborts immediately
CA Internal 98845 DXserver A data integrity issue has been addressed where it was possible for an update added to a MW queue, while MW-DISP recovery was in progress, to be confirmed before it was sent.
CA Internal 125301 DXserver An issue introduced in r12 SP14 has been resolved where a MW queue cleared during MW-DISP recovery may cause the DSA to halt.
CA Internal 280953 DXserver The LDAP tree delete control is now interoperable with MW-DISP.
