Subject: General Availability Announcement for CA ARCserve Replication and CA ARCserve High Availability r15.2 release (formerly known as CA XOsoft Replication and CA XOsoft High Availability)

On behalf of CA, we appreciate your business and the opportunity to provide high-quality, innovative software and services. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer success, we regularly release updated versions of our products. Today, we are pleased to announce the availability of an r15.2 feature update to CA ARCserve Replication r15 and CA ARCserve High Availability r15.

This release includes a wide range of enhancements that expand the breadth of protection, simplify management and speed recovery of data. Some of the key features included are:

Full System Protection Offers complete server protection including the operating system, system state, application and data using Physical to Virtual (P2V) and Virtual to Virtual (V2V) replication as a virtual hard disk (VHD) with automated and push-button failover to Microsoft Hyper-V servers, no matter what the application, helping speed server recovery and reduce disaster recovery costs.

Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP1** Support Provides LAN and WAN data replication, automated and push-button failover*, data rewind for continuous data protection (CDP), and automated DR testing to protect your Exchange 2010 environment as well as older Exchange versions.

Enhanced Microsoft SharePoint 2007/ 2010** Farm Support Now provides farm-level replication and automated and push-button failover* to more easily protect your entire SharePoint farm as a group, including the web front end server, SQL Server database and Application.

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2** Support Provides LAN and WAN data replication, automated and push-button failover*, data rewind for continuous data protection (CDP), and automated DR testing to protect your SQL 2008 R2 environment as well as older SQL versions.

Enhanced Microsoft IIS Support Now provides protection for IIS Metadata that typically contains website configuration information, through LAN and WAN replication, automated and push-button failover*, data rewind for continuous data protection (CDP) and automated DR testing, allowing for granular protection of individual websites.

Linux and UNIX High Availability* Now offers server monitoring, automated and push-button failover and push-button failback in addition to LAN and WAN data replication, with hard-link support.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM v4 Support Provides LAN and WAN data replication, automated and push-button failover*, data rewind for continuous data protection (CDP), and automated DR testing to protect your Dynamics CRM environment including the application role group, platform role group and SQL server database.

Offline Synchronization Offers the use of removable media instead of LAN or WAN data transport during the initial synchronization of the production server and replica server or during failback after production server repair and replacement - especially useful for very large volumes of data.

NTFS Sparse File Support Allows replication of existing compressed or de-duplicated data without decompression/ expansion. Typically used to replicate de-duplicated backup data from remote offices or between data centers for offsite protection.

Custom Application Protection** provides users with a wizard-based tool to create replication and high availability scenarios for third-party and custom applications, reducing the need to write custom scripts.

Multi-Stream Replication** Allows per scenario use of multiple data streams to increase network replication performance over high-latency Wide Area Networks (WANs).

Customer Feedback Conduit** Provides quick and easy access to product user groups, RSS feeds, training videos, Blogs, social networking sites and the CA product development team from within the CA ARCserve Replication and High Availability user interface.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7/8 Support** allows management of the CA ARCserve Replication and High Availability management console with the latest versions of Internet Explorer.

* Requires CA ARCserve High Availability.

** Denotes enhancements released in a subsequent r15.x service pack or feature release.

Customers covered by an active maintenance contract are eligible to receive a free upgrade to the r15 release.

Active r12.5/r15.0 Maintenance Customers Active maintenance customers running r12.5 can download the software and upgrade directly to r15.2 as an in-place upgrade or they can perform a fresh install using their existing license key.

Active r12.0 Maintenance Customers Active maintenance customers running r12 releases can download the software and use their existing r12 licenses key to perform a fresh installation.

Active v4 Maintenance Customers Active maintenance customers running v4 releases can download the software but must contact CA Customer Care to request a new r15.x license key in order to perform a fresh installation.
