CA employees in Australia, and around the globe, will take time out of their workday to give back by participating in community-based, environmentally-focused projects that include Cooking for a Cause with OzHarvest, a bush regeneration day with Ryde Council and a clothing donation drive for Dress for Success.
“We are excited to be celebrating the 11th anniversary of CA Together in Action,” said Hope Powers, senior vice president and managing director, CA Technologies Australia & New Zealand.
“Participation continues to grow each year, with CA volunteers continuing to demonstrate a true commitment to serving the communities in which they live and work.”
Lisa Dainty of OzHarvest said, “Corporate volunteering is part of our fabric. OzHarvest simply could not do all that we do without the investment, both financial and in time, which our corporate supporters and their staff provide to us. This is an excellent initiative by CA Technologies.
“We are impressed by the level of commitment and passion that CA employees display when participating in our Cooking for a Cause volunteer program. It is so fantastic to see the spirit of community service within a company the size of CA.”
Since the CA Together in Action initiative launched in 2005, more than 55,000 employee volunteer hours have been contributed and more than 1,100 projects have been completed. CA employees are encouraged to use up to three workdays annually to volunteer for company-sponsored activities of their choice. In addition, each fiscal year CA matches employees’ personal charitable contributions up to $5,000.
Globally, CA Together in Action projects will be held throughout the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
