CA Technologies Wins Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Award for Third Consecutive Year

Accolade by NetworkWorld Asia Information Management Awards 2016 underscores CA Technologies Leadership in Information Security in Asia Pacific & Japan

SINGAPORE, June 9, 2016 – CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that it has been awarded for the third consecutive year, the best in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution category of the NetworkWorld Asia (NWA) Information Management Awards 2016. This marks the fourth time in five years CA Technologies has received this honor, underscoring its leadership in the information security, storage and data management marketplace in Asia Pacific & Japan.

After a thorough evaluation process and judging by NetworkWorld Asia editors and 100 regional CIOs and IT heads of end-user organizations across Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ), CA Identity Governance was voted as industry’s best to meet the governance, compliance, and risk requirements of today.

“Receiving the NWA Information Awards 2016 for the third consecutive year is an achievement and we are truly honoured,” said Vic Mankotia, vice president, Security & API Management, Asia Pacific & Japan, CA Technologies. “While the application economy is growing rapidly, having identity-centric security is crucial. Today, the need of the hour is for organizations to address the problem of providing appropriate access governance and access certification within any complex, physical or virtual enterprise environment.”

CA Technologies, along with the rest of the finalists, were chosen based on the following criteria:

  • Reputation of vendor in the marketplace;
  • Features and USPs of the vendor’s solution;
  • Widespread acceptance of technology and/or brand;
  • Users’ feedback on the solution/deployment;
  • Contributing factors such as durability, scalability and quality of service.

“There is a growing need among organizations in the region today to protect their digital assets from the evolving security threat landscape. Winning this award four times in five years demonstrates CA Technologies' unrivaled leadership in governance, risk and compliance, as well as the breadth and depth of the solutions it offers in today’s application economy,” said Victor Ng, Editor in Chief for NetworkWorld Asia and Enterprise Group Editorial Director at Questex Asia.

About NWA Information Management Awards

The NetworkWorld Asia Information Management Awards, inaugurated in 2012, recognizes Asia's leaders in Information Security, Storage and Data Management for the huge advances made in these fields over the last few years.

It is the only regional Editors’ and CIOs’ Choice Awards program for this maturing market, backed by leading Asian publications and portals – NetworkWorld Asia, Networks Asia, Security Asia, Storage Asia and Asia Cloud Forum.

Editors shortlisted 3-4 finalists in around 50 award categories. The list of finalists was then put up for online voting. 100 regional CIOs and IT heads of end-user organizations were invited to vote, and the finalist with the most votes in each category emerged as the award winner.
