APIs are becoming ubiquitous as enterprises increasingly need to open up to mobile devices, cloud-based services, partners and third-party developers. CA API Gateway 8.3 enables enterprises to selectively open their data and applications to both internal and third-party developers, integrating with existing IAM solutions for a plug and play solution.
The focus of this course is Gateway Migration Utility (GMU), which is built on top of the existing REST-Management API. Unlike backing up and restoring a full CA API Gateway, GMU enables you to target policies and their dependencies. You will be introduced to the fully featured GMU command line migration functionality for the API Gateway. You will also be shown how you can use GMU to securely and efficiently migrate services, policies, folders and other configurations from one CA API Gateway to another. This will enable you to seamlessly reuse and share resources and configurations between gateways.
