Q & A with T5 Systems

Growing globally with CA API Management as a key partner.

I caught up with CA World presenter, Onur Fenar, to hear how T5 Systems is expanding from a local market leader to a global leader in integration and middleware, through implementing API Management solutions from CA Technologies.

Our conversation

CO: Hi Onur! Thanks for taking the time to speak with me today. To start, can you give us a bit of background about yourself and founding T5 Systems?

OF: Sure, thanks for chatting with me. After working in different roles for many international software vendors, I believed that it was the perfect time to start my own business. Founding T5 Systems was one of the most important decisions I made in my life.

CO: For those who may be unfamiliar with T5 Systems, what business challenges do you solve for clients?

OF: Before starting up the company, we coined T5 Systems as “The Integration Company,” which has served to explain in a few words what we do best for clients. We primarily engage in consulting and partnership activities around the implementation of new generation and integration software.

CO: You often work with partners in your engagements; what challenges drove you to seek out the CA API Gateway solution in particular?

OF: Certainly, we work a lot with partners. But we had a significant challenge to find the perfect API solution to use in our integration projects. We were familiar with the CA API Gateway as Layer 7 prior to its acquisition by CA, so we knew from the beginning that we would implement the CA API Gateway and related components in our business. The selection process was simple.

CO: Once you decided to work with CA, what business objectives were you hoping to accomplish from implementing the CA API Gateway?

OF: As a company, we have been very focused on integration. Our integration offering was unique in the local market, and something that competitors were not yet matching. So our primary objective was to grow our business and become the market leader for integration and middleware. CA’s products and solutions have been vital to this goal.

CO: What features of the CA API Gateway in particular were critical to your selection of the solution?

OF: We found the CA API Gateway to be a very competitive product with many key technical features. It’s easy to deploy and robust, while being both flexible and customizable. It was quick to implement, with short project cycle times. And CA has a wide network of local and global references that speak to the value of its solutions.

CO: What value has T5 recognized from working with CA?

OF: CA has been a very committed partner with strong local and global support. The company has provided an assistive approach during our sales cycle and enhanced our integration offering.

CO: Finally, how do you see your relationship with CA evolving in the future?

OF: In the past we have been focused locally, but we plan to grow globally through our partnership with CA. In the near future, we will be extending our solution portfolio with CA Application Performance Management solutions in addition to our existing CA API Management & integration solutions.
