Dorica Munell is Principal, Project Manager at CA Strategic Research in Barcelona. She supports the management of all aspects of the on-going projects in EMEA, as well as proposal preparation. Her role includes helping CA Strategic Research establish successful research collaborations with other research institutions or companies. During the last 7 years, she has been managing more than 40 EU funded projects, in the industry sector (Intel Corporation and CA Technologies) as well as in Academia (UPC and Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica). Additionally, she has experience in managing internal industrial projects with very restricted IP and a long background working in the research area of multinational companies. Prior to joining CA, Dorica worked in companies and organizations in the research field for more than 15 years: Grifols (Pharma), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Technical University), Intel Corporation (Microprocessors), Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica (Biomedicine).
Dorica is also participating in Science2Society H2020 project (www.science2society.eu), where she is analysing the current co-location activities of CA Technologies with the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) to identify best practices and bottlenecks to improve the collaboration between academia and industry.
Dorica graduated (Bachelor's Degree) in Translation Studies at UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). Additionally, she graduated in Business Studies from UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). She did a Master Program on Project Management at La Salle Barcelona and got PMP certified in November 2017.
Dorica is very interested in Project Management, especially in the research field. She is also a fan of Business Strategy and Innovation.
