CA Technologies customers around the globe use our software solutions to meet their business challenges and create new market opportunities. To monitor and ensure our products’ effectiveness, we use them ourselves at CA.

By developing tools to manage the availability and performance of the IT assets within traditional data centers and cloud environments, CA gives customers the ability to easily optimize their computing resources and minimize unnecessary expenditures, the benefits of which are magnified when applied on a global scale.

Project & Portfolio Management

Research indicates that one out of every three projects fails to meet the expectations of management. At CA, we’ve undertaken an initiative to understand exactly what causes projects to fail and to deliver an improved solution that’s focused on ensuring project confidence across organizations: CA Project & Portfolio Management (CA PPM). We’re leveraging this solution to redefine how work is accomplished in the application economy, addressing how adaptive project managers can support their business, and business users can capture work details. This ensures confidence that the right level of work is captured and managed for budget, schedule and resource performance purposes.

CA PPM enables customers to make quicker, more strategic decisions; terminate projects that cost more than they’re worth; discontinue services that don’t meet business needs; and reallocate funds and resources from redundant or underutilized applications to new ideas. CA PPM helps customers know exactly which innovations will meet their customers’ demands and how to be ready to execute on them at a moment’s notice. 

Customer Experience

A customer-centric mind-set is at the heart of everything we do. Delivering a superior customer experience (CX) is a core CA Technologies goal, one that is written into our promise to customers. A premier CX drives higher levels of customer loyalty, creates competitive differentiation and enables growth for CA.

We have established a global CX program based on the industry-standard Net Promoter System (NPS) methodology, which measures customer loyalty and provides actionable insights to improve it. We have also launched companywide initiatives that focus on improving the end-to-end customer experience. These changes have boosted our customer satisfaction and NPS scores in all geographies.

Just as important as NPS scores is our emphasis on having CA employees walk in our customers’ shoes and understand what’s important in our customers’ worlds. An application programming interface, or API, is a set of routines, protocols and tools for building software and applications. IT is beginning to see a shift toward a persona-defined user experience, as well as an architecture that is increasingly API-driven. Web APIs already play a critical role in connecting applications and services over the Internet. Our product design strives for sustainability in all respects. For example, to reduce paper consumption, our solutions default to electronic documentation. To reduce our customers’ electricity consumption, we require algorithms to be written for maximum efficiency and all idle time to be minimized. In this way, we aim to ensure that our products make efficient use of physical resources, such as materials and energy, throughout their life cycles.
