Overview

This course will provide you with an introduction to DevOps: the cultural and professional movement that stresses communication, collaboration, integration and automation in order to improve the flow of work between software developers and IT operations professionals. When workflows are optimized, it results in an improved ability to design, develop, deploy and operate software and services faster.

This course is designed as an introduction to DevOps and is perfect for:

  • Anyone seeking an understanding of DevOps principles, practices and cultural considerations
  • Organizations wanting to instill a common DevOps vocabulary and mindset

Prerequisites

Since this is an introductory class, there are no education prerequisites. However, to get the most out of the class, you should complete your pre-class assignments and have a familiarity with IT software development and operations responsibilities.

Certification

Exams are delivered through an independent, global examination partner. Successfully passing (65%) the 60-minute exam consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions leads to the DevOps Foundation Certificate, which will be the prerequisite for future DevOps certification courses.
