CA Technologies is set to ramp up its colocation and cloud delivery capacity as its widens its as-a-service offerings. CA no longer wants to be known as a “mainframe company” and is quickly developing new on-demand solutions around artificial intelligence, IoT, DevOps, security and blockchain.
While the company is still regularly updating its mainframe software – it announced a major update to it at this week’s Built to Change Summit in Santa Clara, California – CA stresses that half of its sales are not dedicated to mainframe platforms.
At the summit, attended by Data Economy, the company was keen to push its CA Accelerator, which supports CA staff in launching startups around new technologies while also remaining on the CA payroll.
