Introduction to Agile

Help everyone speak the same language and understand their role in your agile transformation. Grasp the basic tenets and key practices of agile methods and learn about the compelling benefits of agile (versus waterfall) software development. Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®)

As a Scrum Master, you’ll learn how to use one of the most prevalent agile methodologies (Scrum) to facilitate meetings, coach team members and remove blocks. This course shares time-tested techniques for managing product backlogs, planning releases and iterations (sprints), and progress tracking and reporting. You’ll learn how to effectively plan and run agile events, including daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives.

Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®)

To succeed, a product owner needs to deliver value, every sprint and release. In this course, you’ll learn how to manage agile requirements using personas, modeling, user stories, story mapping, acceptance criteria and just-in-time elaboration. Discover how to plan, prioritize and sequence the product backlog. Understand and lead the five levels of agile planning, as well as the agile product organization and best practices for team structures.

SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)

Success with agile involves excellent product management—from business epic to user story. In this course, you’ll learn how to ensure work delivers strategy and value by applying Lean thinking to guide agile development, delivering iteratively and incrementally with quality. Discover how to work effectively with stakeholders to stay focused on value and to get and incorporate feedback. Support delivery teams using SAFe ScrumXP to deliver running, tested software in short cycles.

SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master with SASM Certification

As a Scrum Master, you want to build a high-performing team that can consistently make and meet commitments with quality. When your organization scales agile by adopting the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe), your responsibilities increase to include coordinating and facilitating the flow of work with other teams in your program. This course prepares you for this larger context, and challenges you to expand your skills so your teams and programs get better at delivering great outcomes for your company.

Agile for Project Managers

Designed for successful project managers (PMs) who want to embrace agility, this in-depth, hands-on introduction to agile and lean practices teaches serious PMs to expand their toolkit to help teams deliver value faster and adapt to ever-changing stakeholder needs. This course prepares professionals wanting to earn the Agile Certified Practitioner credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI-ACP®) to pass the certification exam on the first try.

Test-Driven Development

Learn the basic skills and gain the hands-on experience required to implement test-driven development (TDD) in your agile development. You’ll be introduced to TDD-related techniques and concepts while working to turn example business requirements into working code. This course is primarily intended for hands-on developers, but anyone who must understand, review and communicate the use and utility of TDD will also benefit.

Scrum Team Launch

In this course, teams learn how to identify and break down work to deliver increments in each sprint. A coach helps your team apply agile methods in your environment, planning real work, grooming the backlog, planning the sprint and scheduling Scrum ceremonies. Participants will discover how Scrum practices can improve team effectiveness and morale, and be able to explain how Scrum and agile practices support agile principles.

Kanban Team Launch

In this course, teams learn agile, Lean and Kanban principles, and create agreements, policies and metrics for their workflows. By visualizing their processes and work in progress, teams can concentrate on important tasks, recognize and avoid bottlenecks, stay constantly informed of project status and prioritize tasks to make sure they meet their deadlines.

Leading Successful Agile Teams

Designed for all leaders in fields that use agile methods, this course teaches you how to nurture and guide team members, foster collaboration and serve your teams to ensure success. Learn how to coach and model agile principles and values, and implement and support Lean and agile principles and techniques. Discover how to build and sustain engaged, self-organizing teams and motivate people to sustain an agile transformation.

SAFe® for Teams

This certification course is designed to teach team-level Scrum and XP, and help teams discover how to contribute and thrive as part of a Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe) release train. Participants will understand how to form their teams (Scrum Masters, product owners and developers/testers) in an enterprise context, and work effectively with product and delivery group management as part of an Agile Release Train to deliver complex enterprise solutions. The course is intended for new teams in an enterprise agile adoption program or can be used to re-baseline existing Scrum teams as required for scaling.

Agile at Scale

Implementing SAFe® with SPC Certification

Become a leading agent for change—and enable your enterprise to succeed in a disruptive marketplace—when you certify as a SAFe® 4.5 Program Consultant (SPC). During this four-day course, you’ll learn how to lead a Lean-Agile transformation by leveraging the practices and principles of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe).

You will learn how to effectively coach programs, launch Agile Release Trains, build a continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps culture and empower a Lean Portfolio. The first two days of the course—Leading SAFe®—will provide you with the basis to teach SAFe to others. The final two days focus exclusively on what it takes to successfully implement SAFe in your enterprise.

This training course is designed for organizations that have achieved success with agile at the team or program level and want to extend agile principles to steering the portfolio. Strategic planning leaders will learn to prioritize, plan and steer initiatives across programs and teams.

Based on Jean Tabaka’s book “Collaboration Explained,” this highly interactive course will teach participants the techniques needed to guide organizations to scale agile through their approaches to collaboration. In this class, you will learn how you, your team and your organization will change throughout the agile transition and you will gain new tools for guiding your people in their journey to provide better business results through agile.
