Introduction:

 

The integration of CA Workload Automation AE and CA Service Desk lets you open a service desk ticket (request or incident) when a job fails. For more information on the CA Service Desk integration, please visit the CA DocOps documentation portal provided under the Additional Information.

Question:

 

Where are the Service Desk related job (JIL) attributes stored in the CA WAAE database?

I am trying to find the table and field name for the JIL attributes: 'svcdesk_desc' and 'svcdesk_attr'.

Environment:
CA Workload Automation AE 11.3+ on all supported platforms.
Answer:

 

All service desk related information for a job are stored in the UJO_SERVICE_DESK table in the CA WAAE database.

Description of the UJO_SERVICE_DESK table from an Oracle DB [AEDBADMIN schema] is given below.

 

The svcdesk_attr and the svcdesk_desc JIL attributes correspond to the ATTRIBUTE and the DESCRIPTION columns, respectively.

 

Note: Do NOT update the aforementioned table columns directly in the database as it could result in unexpected behaviour. Use the jil command line or the CA WCC / CA iXp GUI to update the job definition, instead.
