Two problems associated with using the Tuxedo middleware on both CA Gen 7.6 and CA Gen 8.0 have recently been brought to our attention. These problems affect applications running on both Windows and UNIX platforms as specified in the CA Gen Technical Requirements for your release (Tuxedo is not supported on all UNIX platforms).
- CA GEN transactions that use Tuxedo with XA database connections do not report tpcommit failures back to the client.
- CA Gen transactions that use Tuxedo with non-XA database connections do not rollback data even when it should be rolled back.
Solutions for both problems are available as test fixes on each of the affected platforms. Formal PTFs will be published on our web site as quickly as possible.
