CA is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. With CA's recent announcement of the general availability of eTrust CA-Top Secret Security for z/OS (eTrust CA-Top Secret), Release 9, we would like to take this opportunity to review the support schedule for currently supported releases of eTrust CA-Top Secret Security for z/OS.

With the announced availability of eTrust CA-Top Secret, Release 9, support for Release 8 is now scheduled to be discontinued as of September 15, 2007.

eTrust CA-Top Secret Release 8 provides support for z/OS releases through Version 1 Release 7. However, support of new functionality beyond z/OS Version 1 Release 7 within eTrust CA-Top Secret Release 8 is not intended at this time. eTrust CA-Top Secret Release 9 provides full support for z/OS Version 1 Release 7 and will support later releases of z/OS.

If you have not yet upgraded to eTrust CA-Top Secret Release 9, we urge you to do so as soon as possible so you can take full advantage of the latest new features and enhancements this release has to offer. For additional information on eTrust CA-Top Secret, please visit the eTrust

CA would like to help make your upgrade to the latest release of eTrust
CA-Top Secret as straightforward and successful as possible. Therefore to assist you, we are offering the following:

  • A no-charge software upgrade from eTrust CA-Top Secret Release 8 to eTrust CA-Top Secret Release 9 for any customer with an active maintenance contract.

  • Publication of documents to help prepare you for your upgrade to eTrust CA-Top Secret Release 9. Those documents can be viewed at https://Support.ca.com.

  • CA Technology Services is available to provide consulting services for any or all parts of the upgrade, including analysis of the current system, preparation for the upgrade, testing, and performing the upgrade itself. When you are ready to request your upgrade or to obtain more information about eTrust CA-Top Secret Release 9, in North America please call
